Overview of the talk
Recently there has been a rash of new drones released from the likes of GoPro and DJI, both of which bring their own revolutionary spin to the consumer market. From delivering packages to video journalism the world is just waking up to the future possibilities of drones. But did you know that there is already a developer ecosystem that allows you to offer your own apps that power these flying drones. Over the last few year, Intel, DJI and 3DR drones amongst others have released SDKs and APIs that allow you to control and overlay your own applications on top of their machines.
In this talk, we’ll look at the current state of the market, some examples of what you legally can and cannot do and talk about the potential opportunities available in this new app market.
